DTO and Enforcement Inspector of Karimganj placed under suspension for gross negligence of duties

As per the direction of Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, two officials namely Apu Mazumdar, DTO, Karimganj, and Ahmed Hussain Mazumdar, Enforcement Inspector, office of the DTO, Karimganj have been placed under suspension today.

The district administration informed the same by issuing a media statement. “They have been suspended for gross negligence of duties in checking overloading of vehicles,” states the media statement.

It adds, “Transport Minister has directed all DTOS for strict enforcement by checking over-speeding and monitor overloading diligently. He further added that negligence of duty will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against those found guilty.

Transport Department has directed S.R. Mannan, DTO, Hailakandi and S.U. Tapadar, Enforcement Inspector, office of the DTO, Hailakandi to take over the charge of DTO, Karimganj and Enforcement Inspector, Karimganj respectively in addition to their own duties until further order.

In a tweet, minister Chandra Mohan Patowary stated, “Transport Deptt is committed to enforce the motor vehicle rules and take action against menaces like overloading. Action will also be taken against negligent officials. DTO and Enforcement Inspector of Karimganj placed under suspension for the negligence of duty.”
