Stationed Silchar-Thiruvananthapuram express catches fire in Silchar Railway station
Today morning, coaches of Silchar -Thiruvananthapuram Superfast Express caught fire. The train which departs from Silchar on Tuesday was stationed at the pit line.
As per eyewitnesses, initially, the fire was restricted within one coach but it soon started spreading to others. The passengers on other platforms started panicking as the flames went higher.
The station administration refused to speculate on the cause of the fire, instead, they said that the Silchar fire service and SDRF personnel are trying to douse the fire. After the fire is brought under control, an investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the fire informed a senior official.
There are no reports of any human injury yet.
