Flying Squad, Static Surveillance team, Police videographers in Cachar to stop bribe for votes

The Cachar district administration has formed Flying Squads and Static Surveillance Team to ensure that all fair practices are followed in the run up to the upcoming LokSabha election. This is the time when candidates use their party workers to distribute cash, alcohol as bribe for votes. The flying squads and surveillance team is formed to keep a track on any such activities. There will be videographers in those teams to film any unlawful activities from the candidate or his/her party workers.

The district administration informed that the squads will be deployed on each and every assembly constituency. In Silchar, Dwijendranath Sharma, Arghya Karmakar and K Panu will be in charge of the flying squad. In Udharbond the squad will be led by Jahar Uddin Ahmed, Manabendra Nath and Hemanta Kumar Bora. In Borkhola, Pranab Aich, Abhinay Paul, Monojit Acharya will be at the helm of the squad while in Katigorah Uttam Paluwa, Mehdi Hasan Choudhury, Shubhankar Paul and Biswajit Das will lead the squad. Similarly in Sonai Assembly constituency, Kamal Kanti Das, Rahul Kanti Nath and Abdul Haque Barbhuiya will be in charge of the squad, while, in Dholai, Huna Singh Engti, Satish Koiri, and Pritam Paul will look after the squad. In Lakhipur, Arjun Choudhury and Ranaranjan Nath will head the flying squad.

The Static Surveillance Team, on the other hand will be responsible to track, cash transactions, illegal transportation of alcohol, weapons and any other suspicious activities on the run up to the elections. In Silchar, the team will be headed by, Paritosh Paul, Priyank Paul and Satyajit Nath. In Sonai assembly constituency three teams will be deployed, each headed by, Feroz Nunisa, Debashish Kashyap and Kamaraujjaman Barbhuiya respectively. In Dholai constituency too there will be three teams with, Ranjan Suklabaidya, Priyobrata Das and Sahidul Alam Laskar as the in-charge of each teams. The Udharbond team will be led by, Subash Dey, Sahabuddin and Sahin Ahmed Barbhuiya while Keshab Luithal, A K Das, and Bibhuti Bhusan Chanda will be responsible for the team in Borkhola. In Katigorah, Fakrul Islam Choudhury, Sanjay Kumar and Bikas Bhargab Sharma will head the team while in Lakhipur the charge has been given to Bijay Brahma, Lutfur Rahman Barbhuiya and Shankar Goswami.
