Hailakandi Police arrests fake doctor Biswajit Debnath

He wore the robe as they all do, he had a stethoscope wrapped around his neck as they all do, he was prescribing medicines as they all do, the only difference was, they all studied hard to become a doctor while he just forged a piece of paper and called it his degree.

In a shocking turn of affairs, a man identified as Biswajit Debnath was caught practicing as a doctor from a chamber in a chemist in Hailakandi. Police officials along with assistant commissioner of Hailakandi, Mongve Engti conducted a raid in Priyobola Medical Store located near Hailakandi Civil Hospital. The officials arrested fake doctor Biswajit Debnath from the chemist itself where he was running his chamber from.

Police also seized fake prescription pads of SK Roy Civil Hospital from the Medical store. An FIR has been lodged against the Priyobola Medical Store.

On the other hand, the moment locals got to know about the raid they started gathering in front of the store. Many were shocked to know that Biswajit Debnath is actually a fake doctor.
