Invigilator of MHC HS School confesses he clicked images of TET Booklet; FIR lodged

After Barak Bulletin published the exclusive report today morning, the head of Centre – Moinul Haque Choudhury HS School lodged an FIR complaining about illegal photography of the TET Question Booklet. The head of the Centre – Mustafizur Rahman was asked to initiate a probe by Inspector of Schools Cachar, Samina Yasmin Rahman.

After conducting the initial probe, Head of the Centre has identified the invigilator who was on duty in room number four of the Centre. The male invigilator confessed that he has clicked photographs of the question paper to “See it later.” He also confessed that he had scanned the question paper with his mobile phone and sent it to his roommate who shared it with others and thus it went viral. The biggest part of his confession is that he clicked photographs after the examination was over, which if true, rules out the question paper leak suspicion.

The head of the centre, Mustafizur Rahman said that the departmental probe will proceed as per instructions of the higher authority. However, since the FIR has been lodged, the matter becomes sub judice and thus, Police will conduct its independent investigation.

The head of the centre has submitted the report to Inspector of Schools and the Deputy Commissoner of Cachar has been briefed accordingly.

SP Cachar, Ramandeep Kaur said that Cachar Police will investigate the matter from the scratch. “The head of Sonabarighat MHC HS School has lodged a complaint. From what we have gathered so far, it seems the photographs were clicked after the examination and not before. However, we will further investigate the matter and action will be taken as per law,” said SP Cachar.

She informed that another FIR has been lodged by the principal of Borjatrapur Shirajul Ali HS School against a Facebook handle which stated that the question paper was leaked from the mentioned centre. “We have seen the post. It did not contain any image of the question paper but only mentioned that the paper was leaked from this particular centre. We have registered a case under the appropriate sections of IT Act.” added Ramandeep Kaur.

Since the invigilator of MHC HS School room number 4 confessed that he himself has clicked the photographs and from his own device if the investigating agencies check the time of photography and verify it using the technology, the timing can be ascertained. Once that is done, if it turns out that the photograph was taken after the examination, question paper leak theory can be ruled out. This will come as a big relaxation for the applicants as they are living under a cloud of uncertainty.
