Kendriya Vidyalaya in Barak Valley region secures 97.46 pass percentage; Here are the toppers

There are 25 Kendriya Vidayalayas in Barak Valley region and all of them performed well in the recently announced results of higher secondary. The Assistant Commissioner, Regional Office, Silchar, P I T Raja informed that 985 students had appeared across Science, Commerce and Humanities Stream and 960 of them passed securing a 97.46 pass percentage.

Arunangshu Roy of NIT Silchar Kendriya Vidyalaya topped in the Science stream from the district by securing 482 out of 500. With 96.4 per cent marks he shares the pole position with N Tompokluwangcha of KV Srikona who also scored 482 out of 500 to be the joint topper in Science stream in Barak Valley.

Bidita Haldar of KV Karimganj scored 478 out of 500 to outperform her classmates in the Commerce stream in Barak Valley to emerge as the topper in the stream.

In the Humanities stream, Gangotri Das of KV, Masimpur scored 489 out of 500. With 97.8 per cent marks, she has not only topped her stream in the region but also emerged as the top performer across all streams in the region.

Assistant Commissioner P I T Raja expressed his happiness at the performance of the students and wished them all luck for their bright future.

Please note: We have updated the report. Earlier we had published that a student of KV Silchar emerged as the topper in Commerce stream based on the information given by the Regional Office. As it turns out, there was an inconsistency in the information shared by KV RO, and now we have updated the story.
