Man in Cachar's Borkhola rapes his aunt; Police arrest him after a long chase

A piece of shocking news coming in from Cachar. A woman, who was in search of her cattle in the evening, met her nephew on the way. She asked him if he has seen the cattle, to which, he replied in affirmative.

“The boy then misguided his Chachi and took her to an isolated place where he raped her,” informed OC of the Borkhola Police Station, Manmohan Raut.

The lady then approached the Police station with her husband. “They came and asked us to bring the boy to the Police station. We tried our best to educate them about crime against women, however, they fail to understand the extent of the crime. Eventually, we informed them that if they do not lodge an FIR, we will do it ourselves and start the investigation.”

Soon the Police, under the leadership of OC Raut, started searching for the accused. There was very little information about him and so, with the help of the Silchar SP Office, they started tracking the mobile phone. Eventually, after a long chase, the accused was arrested from the residence of his relative.

“We have arrested him and summoned him for interrogation, he cooperated and confessed his crime. He said that it was a silly mistake from his side and we tried to aware him that rape is never a silly mistake,” informed Manmohan Raut, OC, Borkhola Police station.

Please Note: Since the culprit is a relative of the victim, his name has not been disclosed as that could lead to the identification of the victim.
