Man kills himself by hanging with a rope in Udharbond

A man from Udharband committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope. The incident took place this morning in the Nagar area under Udharband police station. The man identified as Charman Urang was known to be mentally imbalanced.

It is learned that 42-year-old Charman Urang is the son of Jharia Urang, a resident of Nagar Lane. Charman Urang’s wife Durga Urang said that her husband had a brain disorder. According to the details of the incident, Charman severely beat his 8-year-old daughter yesterday. As a result, the girl received severe injuries in the head. Then Durga Urang took her daughter to Chandighat Hospital.

As per reports, last night Durga was at Chandighat Hospital with her daughter. When she returned home from the hospital this morning, she saw Charman Urang hanging in the kitchen. Seeing her husband like this, she started screaming.

Hearing the screams, the neighbours came running. The matter was later reported to the police.

Upon receiving the news, the police rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and took it to the police station. The body was later sent to Silchar Medical College for autopsy.
