Massive fire in Cachar's Harinagar, three shops gutted

Devastating news coming in from Cachar’s Harinagar area. A huge fire broke out in Harinagar which gutted three business establishments into its flame. This incident happened early morning on Thursday, October 13, when a hotel, a pharmacy and a tailoring shop burnt in the flames of the fire. Firefighters’ engines managed to doze off the fire but nothing could be saved from the wrath of the flames. 

The fire started early morning on Thursday and according to the sources the fire started from the hotel which is owned by Tarun Deb. The fire gradually spread to the pharmacy which was adjacent to the hotel and later to another tailoring shop. As it was quite early in the morning, no one saw the flames and before anyone could do anything it was already late.

The emergency line was dialled for help and the Fire and Emergency Service rushed there to doze off the fire. Four engines of the Fire department were engaged to put the fire off and after a long try the flames were dozed but nothing could be saved from either of the three business establishments.

The wrath of the fire gutted everything in its way. The source of the fire is not yet known but the damages are estimated to be in lakhs. Huge quantities of medicines and essentials also burned down in the fire along with the source of income for the three families.
