Mother demands death sentence for husband in Cachar as he allegedly killed their 6-year-old daughter

A horrifying chain of events unfolded in the village of Lathigram in Udharbond, Cachar district, sending shockwaves through the community. The incident involves the alleged murder of six-year-old Ayesha Begum, leading to demands for the death sentence for her father, Nazir Uddin.

The story began with Farida Begum, Ayesha’s mother, accusing her husband, Nazir Uddin, of persistent physical abuse throughout their marriage. Disturbed by the escalating violence, Farida fled her marital home after a severe assault by her husband, seeking refuge at her parental home.

Tragedy struck when Farida learned of her daughter’s disappearance on Thursday. Upon her return to the family home on Friday, Nazir Uddin reportedly admitted to selling Ayesha, which further compounded the mother’s distress.

Faced with this alarming situation, Farida filed a police complaint on Saturday, alleging her husband’s involvement in their daughter’s disappearance. This led to the detention of Nazir Uddin and the initiation of a police investigation.

However, the case took a grisly turn when, on September 24, locals discovered a foul odor emanating from the vicinity of Larsing Nala. Upon inspection, they found a sack containing the lifeless body of a child. The victim was identified as Ayesha Begum.

In a disturbing revelation, Farida’s son claimed to have witnessed his father, Nazir Uddin, murdering Ayesha and disposing of her body in the sack.

In the wake of these chilling events, Farida Begum has demanded the death sentence for her husband, holding him responsible for their daughter’s brutal murder.

The community is now awaiting the results of the police investigation, which is expected to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Ayesha Begum’s tragic death and determine the appropriate legal actions against Nazir Uddin. The demand for the death penalty in this heart-wrenching case highlights the gravity of the situation and the mother’s call for justice.
