The incident took place when Maynul Haque Choudhury and Narul Haque Choudhury were attending to their buffaloes. While they were tying the animals in their shed, a sudden lightning strike occurred, bringing both the men and the animals to the ground. The local villagers quickly sprang into action, rescuing the injured men and rushing them to Katigorah Hospital. The buffaloes, unfortunately, succumbed to the severe injuries inflicted by the lightning.
A family member, while addressing the media, recounted the harrowing experience. She mentioned that the two brothers were in the process of tying the buffaloes when the lightning struck. The entire community rushed to the scene, only to find the buffaloes lifeless and the brothers unconscious. Immediate efforts were made to transport the injured men to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
