Northeast Frontier Railway to Renumber 25 Trains from January 2025 As Per National Standards
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the renumbering of 25 passenger trains, effective from 1 January 2025. The existing “0” numbering system will be replaced with regular five-digit train numbers to ensure better clarity and alignment with national standards.
The changes cover trains operating across key routes in the region, including Silchar, Agartala, Sabroom, Bhairabi, Vangaichungpao, and other destinations. Passengers are advised to take note of the revised numbers to avoid any confusion while booking or travelling.
