Numaligarh Refinery to organise a cycle rally in Silchar on Jan 19

A cycle rally will be organized by Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) at Silchar on 19th January 2020 as part of SAKSHAM (Sanraksham Kshamta Mahostsav), Cachar SP Manavendra Dev Ray said on Thursday holding a press conference at his conference hall.

The ‘cycle day’ will consist of a 5 km ‘Green Ride’ starting from police parade ground of Silchar and moving through Cachar College, Madhuramukh, Rongpur ground to finally culminate at the starting point. The cycle rally will start 6 am.

The objective of the campaign will be to sensitize the masses about the conservation and efficient use of petroleum products for better health and environment. SAKSHAM Cycle Day will be observed in 200 cities simultaneously.

The NRL will also organize a ‘Walkathon’ at Silchar on 2nd February to create awareness on the benefits of the conservation of petroleum products.
