Rare species of deer rescued from Udharbond, later released in Barail Wildlife Sanctuary by Forest Department

A rare species of deer was found in Cachar’s Udharbond. The deer was rescued from near a pond in Dighirpar of Udharbond. As per reports, in the morning locals saw the deer near the pond and informed the Forest Department. After hearing the news, a team of Forest Department officials arrived at the spot and took the deer to the office of Forest Department.

After that the officials of Forest Department released the deer in Barail Wildlife Sanctuary. After the news of deer getting rescued spread, curious people went to the Forest Department office for seeing it.

Speaking to reporters about the incident an official of Forest Department said, “Today morning at around 11 am locals informed us that a deer was spotted in Dighirpar of Udharbond. Our forest department officials with the help of locals rescued the deer and took it to Udharbond Forest Department. Later forest department officials released the deer in Barail Wildlife Sanctuary. The deer might have come from some forest.”
