Secretary Bijendra, President Dipayan, Vice President Subimal! Panel of ruling party formed

Bijendra Prasad Singh is returning to the post of Secretary of Silchar District Sports Association. Barak Bulletin had published a news about it two days ago. Bijendra’s name was sealed for the post of Secretary in the ruling party’s panel on Monday. According to sources, Bijendra has also started campaigning from Monday evening. However, the President’s position is still not final. MLA Dipayan Chakraborty will probably take the final decision on Tuesday. Unless something dramatic happens, the MLA from Silchar is contesting as the President from the ruling party.

According to a source, the panel of the ruling party is almost ready. However, there are complications regarding the posts of President, Vice-President, Assistant Secretary (Administration) and Treasurer. After several rounds of meetings, the ruling party could not resolve the complications of some positions. Actually several new names have emerged for multiple positions in the last two days. As a result, problems have arisen. Subimal Dhar doesn’t want to disclose anything, however, his name has been kept as one of the Vice-Presidents. Initially it was heard that Kaushik Roy of Lakhipur was decided for the post of Vice President. However, his name is not in the panel that has been created today. Rather, Prosenjit Bhattacharjee has emerged as a new name. The rest of the Vice-Presidents are Siddharth Shankar Bhattacharjee, Ajay Chakraborty, Ratan Singh, Nandulal Roy and Mridul Majumdar.

The draft panel that was initially formed had Debashish Shome (Administration) as the Joint Secretary. But it has changed now. Debashish has been replaced by Ashish Chakraborty. Debashish has been kept in his previous position. That is, he is staying as the Ground Secretary. The other two Assistant Secretaries are Chandan Sharma (Major) and Arijit Gupta (Others). However, as soon as the name of Ashish Chakraborty came up, there was intense dissatisfaction within the ruling party. As a result, it will not be surprising if Ashish’s name is dropped at the last moment. The name of Animesh Sengupta was heard as the Treasurer, but now the ruling party wants to change him as well.

Niranjan Das will be the Cricket Secretary. However, Uttam Choudhury is coming to the football department. He is replacing Vikas Das. Animesh Chandra is named as the Indoor Secretary. Two others have also staked their claim in this category. They are Nabendu Sinha and Nitai Paul. So there is a three-way fight for the post of Indoor Secretary. Himadrisekhar Das will be the Umpire secretary and Satyajit Das will be Minor Games Secretary. BJP official Madhav Saha is coming to the Balls department. Sukhen Sarkar is named as Swimming Secretary although Ashutosh Roy has also submitted his claim for this post. It remains to be seen whether there will be any further changes in the panel of ruling party.
