Silchar's Debojit Saha composes theme song for West Bengal BJP's campaign
The gong of assembly election is already clanging, with preparation going in full swing. In a bid to strengthen the election campaign, West Bengal BJP has released a campaign music video, which is sung by former ‘Voice of India’ Debojit Saha. The song titled ‘Aar Noy Annaya’ was written by Tilu Bhattacharjee and composed by Debojit himself.
Talking to Barak Bulletin, Debojit Saha said that he composed this song after the Bengal BJP offered him the opportunity. Talking about the inspiration behind the song, he said, “Shri Narendra Modi is one such personality who’s admired internationally all over the world. He’s someone I have the utmost respect for and I actively follow his ideology. So naturally, when the offer came to me, I simply couldn’t refuse.” He added that through this song, he hopes to send a message to eradicate corruption from society, something which he thinks BJP stands for. ‘Nation first, Politics second’ said Debojit Saha of Silchar.
It is worth noting that Debojit Saha once joined Congress back in 2013. He even expressed his wish to contest in the 2014 Lok Sabha election to serve people at the grass-roots level. He was eventually snubbed by the Congress, following which he unofficially left politics for a while.
