Tarapur's Monojit Das wins State-level para badminton championship

Monojit Das, a resident of Tarapur Silchar, has secured second position in All Assam Second Para Sports meet. Monojit is a specially abled boy, and student of Class 12 in Kendriya Vidyalaya, ONGC Srikona.

He has already represented Assam in national level para badminton meets held in Bhubaneswar in November 2021, he was among the seven players selected for the national meet, and the lone one from Barak Valley. Monojit was also a part of District team in under 13 cricket tournament before.

Monojit’s father is working in Assam Police, and mother Dipali Das is a housemaker. Monojit is also associated with District Sports Association of Silchar and he was a part of under 13 cricket team of DSA Silchar.

This time Monojit participated in All Assam Second Para-sports meet and secured the second place in Badminton.
