Wife stabs husband to death in Meherpur's Kabiura over family dispute, later surrenders to police

In a tragic incident, a husband was stabbed to death by his wife. The killer wife later surrendered to the police. The henious crime took place at Meherpur’s Kabiura and has caused a sensation in the area.

As per reports, the victim identified as Farmin Uddin was stabbed by his wife Mampi Begum and she later surrendered herself by appearing at Silchar Rangirkhari Police station. The deceased Farmin Uddin, was an auto driver by profession. He originally hailed from Lala in Hailakandi district but he had been renting a house with his family in Meherpur’s Kabiura since the last 15 years. They also have two sons. The murder is suspected to have been caused by a family dispute.

Speaking to reporters about the incident one of the sons said, “They had a family dispute and my mother found a knife within her reach. She stabbed my father in his stomach and his chest. My father screamed so my uncle rushed to help. My mother wasn’t allowing the door to be opened. However, he managed to come in and took him to Medical College.”

A neighbour elaborating the incident said, “The husband and wife had a dispute in the evening. The husband later went for work. He arrived home at night and they again had a dispute with each other. The wife stabbed him with scissors. Later he was taken to Silchar Medical College and Hospital but he died before reaching there.”
