Arijit Singh concert in Silchar DSA: "We haven't given permission for any such show," Bijendra Prasad Singh
The Arijit Singh concert at Silchar, the poster of which went viral online, in all likelihood is a mischief to mislead. According to the poster that went viral, the show dated December 28 was going to be held at Silchar DSA ground. The District Sporting Association (DSA) Silchar authorities have rubbished the authenticity of this show and said they have not been informed about any such concert. DSA’s secretary has confirmed this in a media statement.
The poster titled, “ARIJIT SINGH NIGHT THE KING OF MELODY FIRST TIME AT BARAK VALLEY” mentioned the date of the show on December 28. The poster also mentioned the venue of the concert as Silchar DSA ground.
In a press statement, Silchar DSA’s Secretary Bijendra Prasad Singh said, “We have noticed on social media that, famous singer Arijit Singh will perform in Silchar and Silchar DSA Stadium is mentioned as the venue. District Sports Association, Silchar (DSA) hereby clearly informs for general information that no permission has been given by us to organize any such event. No one even contacted us about it. This clarification is provided to avoid confusion among the public”.
The poster also didn’t mention the name of the organizers of the show or any contact number for the same. It also needs to be mentioned that, Arijit Singh came to Silchar first in 2013. He also had a sold-out show at Silchar Rajiv Bhawan back on September 10, 2013.
