BJYM President’s FIR against Sonai-man; “He made a mockery of CDS’ death,” Amitesh Chakraborty

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s Cachar district president, Amitesh Chakraborty has lodged an FIR against Sonai’s Babul Ahmed Barbhuiya a resident of Satrakandi GP, Sonai.

BJYM is the youth wing of Bharatiya Janata Party and district president Amitesh Chakraborty in his complaint mentions that Babul Ahmed Barbhuiya, “Made inhuman comment on late Chief of Defence Staff of India Bipin Rawat after his untimely demise.”

Chief of Defence Staff, Bipin Rawat died yesterday after his chopper met with an accident. Along with him, his wife and other team members also breathed their last following the crash.

Amitesh Chakraborty, speaking with Barak Bulletin said that the Facebook post made by Babul Ahmed Barbhuiya who claims himself to be a member of the Indian National Congress, “makes a mockery of CDS’ death.”

The post in Bengali translates to, “If someone abuses power then his death might be an untimely one. When the emotions of common people are hurt, the Almighty never accepts it. Justice at his court might be delayed but never denied.” A screenshot of the Bengali post is below.

Though Barbhuiya does not name anyone, Chakraborty says, the fact that he has uploaded the post after the death of CDS, it is clear that the post was directed to insult the top man in uniform. “Moreover, apart from the post there were comments which also indicate the same,” said Chakraborty.

In his complaint, Chakraborty adds, “Sir, our kind request to you to book aforesaid immediately under IPC 121,124(A, Sedition), 153, 505 and under the section which competent authority find necessary. Further delay in the process and there might be repurcation from civil society and the same will be informed to state.

The BJYM team went and met the additional SP of Cachar, Subrata Sen. They have complained at Silchar Sadar and the officer in charge refused to comment.
