Hailakandi Friends Forever wins low scoring match in BPL, Dudhpatil Dragons gets easy win
Dudhpatil Dragons got an easy win on the second day of BPL Season Six while Hailakandi’s Friends Forever won the second match of the day. In the first match of the day, Dudhpatil team defeated Blue Hills Dima Hasao by 7 wickets. Batting first at the SM Dev Stadium, Bluehills managed to score 104 runs for eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In fact, the batsmen of Blue Hills could never stand up against the disciplined economical bowling of the opponent. Several of their batsmen started well but failed to score big. Right-arm pacer Dibakar Johri (3-24) bowled well.
Dudhpatil reached the target after losing 3 wickets in 15.2 overs chasing the runs. Left handed opener Aman Chhetri scored the highest 32 runs for the team. Apart from that, Prashant Kumar scored 19 runs and Roshan Topno scored 28 runs unbeaten. Barfil took two wickets.
The second match of the day was low scoring. Friends Forever won by ten runs despite scoring 128 runs against Eleven Challenger Hailakandi. Batting first in the afternoon match, Friends Forever scored 128 runs for 8 wickets. Rajjit Paul Choudhury scored the highest 45 runs for the team. Besides, Al Amin Majumdar scored 16. Vishal Nag and Dipanjan Dev took two wickets each.
In response, the Eleven Challengers were stuck at 118 runs for 7 wickets. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals from the beginning. Sudeep Sinha scored 28 runs and Nirmal Sinha scored 26 runs. Besides, Shubhankar Dey remained unbeaten at 21 runs. Shubojit Acharya and Sanu Das took two wickets each.
